The Dean X Series
The Dean X Series offers ML, V and Z style guitars at a price that won't break the bank. These guitars feature maple necks, rosewood fretboards, dual humbuckers, and plenty of Dean mojo, and are built to rock--perfect for beginners and veterans alike.
Basswood Body
The MLX features a lightweight basswood body. Basswood is great for heavier rock and metal styles, delivering a nice even tone that feeds a dirt pedal (or a dimed Marshall) nicely.
Bolt-On Construction
Bolt-on neck construction provides an affordable alternative to set-neck or thru-body designs. The advantage of this design is that if you do have any neck trouble down the line, you can easily replace it.
The Dimeblade's maple neck features an ultra-playable 22-fret rosewood fingerboard, with classic dot inlays.
Dean Humbucker Pickups
To capture the biting tones of vintage Deans, the company includes two of its standard humbuckers, in black-and-white "zebra" style for looks as good as the sounds. And what to expect tonally? These pickups should provide more than enough bite for modern styles, along with plenty of low-end and midrange definition. The standard three-way selector allows bridge, neck, or a combination. Each pickup gets a volume pot, and they share the tone control.
Grover Tuners
If you play guitar then you know what this means--solid, dependable tuning from the industry standard. These guitar machines are a triumph in engineering and style, with a gear ratio of 14:1, perfect gear meshing, and zero backlash and slippage. The gear box has a special lubricant for lifetime, trouble-free service.
Tune-o-Matic Bridge
The Tune-o-Matic bridge with string-thru body design provides serious sustain, along with precise intonation for your tuning preference. The classic v-shaped plate mirrors the headstock wings for some nice vintage Dean style.
This complete package includes everything you need: an excellent guitar; a small, portable amp that delivers big sound; an instructional DVD (note that DVD shows a right handed player); a bag to protect your guitar when you are not playing; a strap to help you hold your instrument; a 10' cable to connect your guitar to the amp; and a guitar tuner to keep you in tune! This guitar is perfect for many musical styles including rock, jazz, blues, and Christian. The dual cutaway shaped body allows access to the highest frets, and the contoured body makes it comfortable to play for hours. The solid alder wood provides superior sound. Die cast chrome tuners add a touch of class. Three single coil pickups, one volume and two tone controls, plus a five way pickup selector switch create all of today's great sounds. Vintage fulcrum bridge with six adjustable saddles. Maple neck adds stability and is built with a truss rod. (A truss rod is an adjustable neck reinforcement designed to resist the forward bending force of the high tension of steel strings, and is found in the finest of electric guitars.) Rosewood fretboard with 21 jumbo frets. Guitar weighs only 8.5 pounds. Overall length is 39", including the strap button. Scale length is 25.5". Width at the widest point is 13". Width of the neck at the nut is 1 5/8", and at the 21st fret it is 2 1/8". Body thickness is 1 3/4". The amp provides 10 watts of power through a specially designed 5.5" speaker. It has a Master Volume Control. The Two Band Equalizer allows you to control the bass and treble independently. Headphone jack keeps the household sane as you can practice silently.
